Sexuality Between the Genders
I do think that when it comes to men and women there is a double standard that persists, even to this day. Women have to be pure and save their virginity until they are married while men can do what they please. I think that nowadays, it has become somewhat ingrained in us over centuries of this occurring. Women are the more sexual beings, they entice men and cause them to do rash and immoral things. It's unfortunate but I think that having that taught to us for so long made it become something of a fact of life for many. There is also where it came from to be taken into account. It was religion that spread this theory and many different religions are still followed and taken seriously today even if some of their views are sorely outdated. So people believe things like this due to part tradition and part stubbornness and ignorance. It's very sad but very true.
Shifting Class Struggles
I do think that class struggles are alive and well to this day. I believe, however, that they are not as rigid as they used to be. It is a lot easier, in most of the modern day world for people to get a good education and a well paying job. In the past, people, particularly women, had a harder time of making something of themselves in life. I think that things have changed and will continue to change in all parts of the world. So here is to hoping!

Snow
Since I am allowed to make any post I want for one of my two obligatory Blog posts, I decided to talk about the snow. I have a rather strong fondness for it, in spite of the fact that I always spend most of my morning after a snowfall shoveling it. It is wonderful to look out the window and see a fresh blanket of snow covering my lawn. I may not be a child, but I have no aversion to playing in the snow. I make snowmen still. In fact, my mother actually told me that if we get snow she intends to build a snowman with me. Thinks that sounds strange? Well I shovel the snow, so I get to play in it. Don't like it? Take it up with me in a snowball fight.
So here is to hoping it actually snows before spring. Have a nice day everyone!

Lit Course
I'm hoping to get the most of my literature class. The work will be extensive, but I think I can handle it. I'm taking four other classes on top of working so I'm dealing with a lot this semester. I like to challenge myself. I expect my Literature course will require a lot of reading, and a lot of writing and I can handle that.
